Bikes: Our full-suspension mountain bikes are late model Iron Horse MKIII
Sports. They feature Avid disc brakes, Manitou front and rear
suspension, Scram and Shimano Derailleurs, WTB seats, flat pedals (or
bring your clip-ins and we'll put 'em on for you) and adjustable seat clamps for
comfort and efficiency. Our bikes are cleaned and maintained BEFORE AND
AFTER EVERY ride, insuring
that your valuable time will be spent in the saddle and not on the
sidelines awaiting mechanical headaches and extraneous repair stops. Bikes are inspected for safety before every ride.
Helmets Fully adjustable universal-sized
helmets are available. Included with bike rental. Helmets are available
for rent with guide-only trips. $10 per rider flat fee for riders who
provide their own or rental bikes. Sorry, no helmet, no ride!
But What If I Have My Own Bike? If
you have access to your own bike or wish to rent a brand-specific demo
from a local shop, it is possible
to contract guide services only so you spend most of your time enjoying
the trail, not trying to find it! Guide only services are $75 per hour (per
group, not per person) for groups of 6 persons or less; $95 per hour for groups
of more than six.
Zen uses expertly-maintained full-suspension 2007 Iron Horse MKIIIs. Our bikes feature flat platform pedals, but if you prefer clip ins, bring them along and we will install them so you can have the most enjoyable ride possible.
